Our goal at Inglewood is to continue to transition traditionally farmed land into sustainable, organically farmed land. This is a process that we take very seriously, and that we are approaching in phases.
In 2013, we harvested our first crop of organic wheat. Currently, we are growing oats and wheat on 200 acres, and each year we will increase the amount of land dedicated to producing organic small grains, such as wheat and oats as well as corn.
This year, 2016, we successfully grew 100 acres of Organic Food Grade Soft Red Winter Wheat. To our knowledge this is the first time in the modern history of Louisiana, that this crop has been grown organically. We are working with several bakeries and distilleries around the State to provide them with this particular grain. We also have whole wheat berries, and flour available at market.
